Associate Biographies
Dr. Ian Johnson
Dr. Ian Johnson is an accomplished author, lecturer and management consultant. He is an expert on collaboration, management, process mapping and accountability charting with VEC’s Coaching Models and the Holacracy Governance Framework
He brings his extensive business experience to Vollett Executive Coaching, and is trained to use the VEC LeadershipTM, InnovationTM and Work-Life BalanceTM Models.
Ian established his collaboration consulting practice, We-Q Consulting Services, in 1999, and published his first book. How to Lead and Still Have a Life! in 2001.
Prior to that, Ian honed his leadership skills as an internal consultant for DuPont’s Health Care Clients, in which he gave seminars, led workshops and conducted consulting assignments across Canada. During this time he was trained as an ISO 9000 Auditor and as a Quality Management Consultant for the Accounting and Health Care Departments.
Ian worked for DuPont Canada Health Sciences Division for twenty years, in a variety of roles, as a Business Development Manager and a technical sales rep, so he also has a deep understanding of the sales process.
Ian completed his Ph.D. in Biochemistry at the University of Bristol, England and then he worked in London, as an Editor for the Biochemical Journal. In 1973 he immigrated to Canada.
Ian also finds time to donate his expertise to BC Social Venture Partners. The Partners are an innovative network of BC business leaders who leverage time, money and connections to help not-for-profit organizations innovate lasting change in our communities.
